1) Lifetime Achievements:

Previously, he was the Vice President who headed the Employee Development department of Themed Attractions Resorts & Hotels and a “sounding board” to the Head of Group Human Capital. In 2015, the program that he had designed won the Silver Awards for the “Best Employee Engagement Strategy” in Asia Pacific. In 2016, one of his programs won “Best HR Strategy in Line with Business” under Malaysia Best Employer Brand Awards and in 2017 “Best Leadership Development Program for Workers” under the Golden Globe Tigers Awards.

He has set up Group Employee Development department in October 2010 and all training departments at business units as part of the pre-opening strategy and to support all business units’ General Managers to develop their People Performance Management Strategy. He had also designed and developed group performance management system, core-values and leadership competencies descriptors as part of creating a dynamic and productive work environment.

He has designed and conducted 5 business units pre-opening training programs for TAR&H namely KidZania Kuala Lumpur, KidZania Singapore, Puteri Harbour Family Theme Park, two Els Club golf courses in Desaru and Desaru Coast Adventure Water Park. He is also involved in developing the content for The Datai Langkawi Investment in People (DIP) human capital project during the renovation of the resort in 2018. He helped Legoland Malaysia in designing their Edutainment Program “English Mania” for Ministry of Education.

He had also designed and conducted over 20 leadership, management, business, sales, service, coaching and mentoring program. He has trained and certify a group of Senior Vice Presidents to be TAR&H Group’s in-house Mentors and a group of Vice Presidents to be their in-house Coaches in order to increase workforce competency & engagement strategy.

2) Coaching & Leadership Certification

He is a Master NLP Coach and Time Line Therapy practitioner, certified by the American Board of Neuro Linguistic Programming. He is also a Certified Mentor-Coach with the ITD/International Coaching Federation. In February and September of 2018, he attended the “Unleash the Power Within” seminar conducted by Tony Robbins.

He also attended South East Asia Leadership Academy in Bangkok, facilitated Central Asia Leadership Academy in Bulgaria, and facilitated Middle East Leadership Academy in Oman.

3) Business Certification & Recognition

He is a Certified Attractions Executive (ICAE) with University of San Diego, Certified Attractions Manager (ICAM) and APAC Advisory Membership Subcommittee for International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA).

He is recognised by the KidZania head office in Mexico as the first KidZania Nationwide designated training specialist, having attended 3 different programs with the University of KidZania in Mexico to understand the total business value proposition. He specialises in designing Edutainment contents and conducting in-house training programs for Family Entertainment Centres, the tourism industry, leadership, sales and early childhood programs.

4) Human Capital Certifications

He attended Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP-2019) with International Academy of Business and Financial Management, UK. He is a Certified Talent, Competency & Succession Management Practitioner (2013) and a Certified Change Management & Organisation Development Practitioner (2015) with Penn State University.

5) Academic Qualification and Experience

He possesses a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Development and a Master of Science in Corporate Communication with University Putra Malaysia. He has completed his Part 1 in Doctorate of Business

Administration and currently working on his thesis with University of Wales, Trinity St. David. He brings a wealth of experience at a relatively young age of 47, having more than 16 years of experience in training, talent development and human capital management, and a further 13 years of experience in Banking Operations, Credit Department and Sales.

Themed Attractions Resorts & Hotels is a leisure and tourism conglomerate that owns and operates a number of theme parks, resorts, golf courses and hotels.

Wholly owned by Khazanah Nasional Malaysia Berhad, the company manages KidZania Kuala Lumpur and Singapore, Hello Kitty Town, Thomas Town, The Datai Langkawi, ELs Club golf courses and Desaru Coast destinations and attractions.
