Chevaan Daniel

Chevaan sits on the Main Board of one of Sri Lanka’s largest private-sector conglomerates- The Capital Maharaja Organization. As Group Director, his role is diverse. He heads the nation’s largest news media network made up of multiple TV and radio channels. He also drives international business operations in renewable energy, real estate and investments. He is best known in Sri Lanka for his work with the Gammadda Initiative, a humanitarian relief & rural development movement that is sweeping the nation. Chevaan has addressed many international forums on the changing face of humanitarianism including the UN, where he delivered a special address at The World Humanitarian Summit. He is also at the forefront of the global fight against Modern Day Slavery, leading the Sri Lankan delegation at the Bali Forum in Perth, Australia. He is a Fulbright Scholar and an Eisenhower Global Fellow.
